OUR PHILOSOPHY

Show Jumping legend Ian Millar, fondly known as “Captain Canada” is the most decorated equestrian in Canadian history. Ian’s illustrious career includes a record breaking ten Olympic appearances, the most by any athlete in any sport. Amy and Jonathon were born into the questrian sport, riding horses at an early age on the family farm and spending every possible moment in the barn, surrounded by their family’s horses. Amy and Jonathon’s show jumping careers have been extremely successful and both have represented Team Canada at major games and nations cup appearances.

As the next generation of Millar athletes, Amy, Jonathon and Kelly Soleau-Millar had similar beginnings to that of their predecessor, Ian Millar. With big dreams and a work ethic to match, the Millar’s started a new branch of the family business with a U.S. training and sales program, Millar Brooke South. The business came to fruition out of an ambition to elevate their training, competition, and business goals. With a selection of top young mounts, an ample show schedule at the country’s best venues, and an expanding clientele base, their decision operate in the United States has opened new doors for the Millars, while allowing them to travel to the best show circuits.

With a solid base, both their sales and personal horses have been excelling and the competitions have been busy throughout the entire year allowing the Millars to compete at the highest levels. Being based in Wellington, FL, and balancing time in Canada, has solidified their presence in the industry as accessible trainers.
